Karl Wissmann – Chairman of the Board of Directors
Karl is an industry veteran with over 40 years of food retail experience. Karl is a recognized leader for his strategic planning and operational expertise. Karl has demonstrated his professional management proficiency with leading west coast food retailers, most notably with Ralph’s, a division of Kroger. Most recently, Karl was president and chief executive officer of Star Markets, LTD where he led a successful turn-around from negative cash flow to generating $10 million in EBITDA prior to a successful sale. Karl earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Redlands in Redlands, CA. In 2022, Karl assumed the role of chairman of the board. In 2024, he had shifted away from the day-to-day duties of president and CEO, focusing instead on his crucial responsibilities of guiding and overseeing the board as Chairman.
Rocky Campbell – President and Chief Executive Officer
Rocky began his career with C&K Market sorting bottles at the Central Point, OR Ray’s Food Place in 1981. Working his way through the various store level positions at several locations in the Southern Oregon area, Rocky first became a Store Manager at the Weed, CA location in 1990. After other manager posts at the Phoenix, OR and Medford, OR Ray’s, Rocky was elevated to the role of District Manager for the Northern California and Southern Oregon valleys and coastal areas. He then joined the Brookings home office team in the newly created role of Director of Loss Prevention where he developed C&K’s loss prevention program. Since 2011, Rocky has held a series of positions, including Senior Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of Non-Perishables and Operations. In 2024, Rocky was elevated to the role of President and CEO.
David D. Doty – Chief Financial Officer
Before joining C&K Market David was the Chief Financial Officer of Meadow Valley Corporation, a heavy highway civil construction firm located in Phoenix, AZ since 2005. From 2000 to 2005, David was Corporate Controller and then Vice President of Administration, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Star Markets, Ltd. in Honolulu, HI. From 1994 to 2000, he was Vice President of Operations and Controller for a hospitality and tourism firm in Rancho Mirage, CA. David was a supervisor at Brabo, Carlsen & Cahill, CPA’s in Palm Springs, CA from 1991 to 1994. David received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his Certified Public Accountant’s certificate from the State of California.
Jon Wissmann – Vice President, Perishable Marketing
Jon Wissmann joined C&K Market as Vice President of Perishable Marketing in December 2014. His career of over 34 years in the retail grocery industry started in 1981 as an apprentice meat cutter with Alpha Beta Co. in Southern California. Jon has worked his way through the grocery business, working with and managing all departments of the store; grocery, meat & seafood, produce, deli and bakery. In 1992 Jon moved into the corporate arena, taking on positions of Meat Merchandiser, Seafood Buyer, Director of Meat & Seafood Operations and Perishable Director. He has also held the position of New Business Development/Regional Sales Manager- Central US for Farmland Foods. Over the past 34 years, Jon has experienced a wide range of diverse grocery retail outlets; large corporate stores, inner city, ethnic and upscale/full service markets. He also served as a member of the Retail Meat Merchandising Network. Currently, as Vice President of Perishable Marketing, Jon is responsible for merchandising, marketing, and the operating procedures for the meat, produce and deli/bakery operations.
Erick Winchell – Vice President, Non-Perishable Marketing
Erick has been with C&K market since 1990 when he started as a Meat Cutting apprentice in Bandon, Or. He later moved to the Central Oregon area as a Meat Dept Manager and worked in both the Bend and LaPine stores in that role. Erick traveled often during those years, assisting with new store acquisitions, grand openings, and special store events. In 2012, Erick accepted a corporate position as Meat Merchandiser, and moved into the Medford area. This position brought a high level of store exposure over the next few years, traveling to all the Oregon and California locations. In 2015 Erick moved into the Non-Perishable field, accepting a Category Manager role in GM/HBC, and moving into the corporate office. In this position he also assisted with Grocery analysis, attended conventions and buying shows, and oversaw the opening of two Ace Hardware stores. In 2018, he moved into the Director of Non-Perishable Marketing position, and in 2024 was promoted to Vice President, Non-Perishable Marketing. In his current role, Erick oversees all procurement and merchandising for Grocery, Frozen, Dairy, Beverage, GM, and Ace Hardware.
Russell Dysart – Vice President, Controller
Russell Dysart brings more than 35 years of financial accounting and reporting expertise to C&K Market where he began working as its Controller in 2016. Previously, Russell was the Controller of a designer and manufacturer of electromechanical fluid management technologies. He also served as an audit partner at a Big 4 accounting and consulting firm. Russell is experienced in generally accepted accounting principles, internal control over financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and SEC reporting matters. Russell earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Oregon.
Aaron Sandahl – Vice President, Operation
Aaron began his career with C&K in 1992 as a courtesy clerk at the Ray’s Food Place in Yreka CA. Working through the ranks of various store level positions in Northen CA. In 2001 Aaron was promoted to Store Manager in Willits CA. He later managed the locations in Redway CA and Garberville CA. In 2008 he was promoted to District Manager and oversaw areas including the California Coast, Eugene, and Central Oregon. In 2022 he was promoted to Senior Director of Operations and Community Relations. In 2024, Aaron was elevated to Vise President of Operations and Community Relations.
